This report summarizes the meteorological, upper air, nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), ozone (O3), and particulate matter (PM) data collected at the Resolution Copper Project near Superior, Arizona for the fourth quarter, October 1 – December 31, 2015.

A tectonic boundary should be defined by changes in tectonic elements. Tectonic elements would include such parameters as structural style, stress orientations, volcanism, heat flow, seisrnicity and changes in crustal thickness. Examination of these tectonic elements for the southern Colorado Plateau suggests that the southwestern part of the physiographic plateau appears to be tectonically part of the Basin and Range province.

In many cases the ground motions developed near the surface of a soil deposit during an earthquake may be attributed primarily to the upward propagation of shear waves from an underlying rock formation. If the ground surface, the rock surface, or the boundaries between different soil layers are inclined, analyses of the response of the soil deposit can be made only by techniques such as the finite-element method.

We present tectonic reconstructions and an accompanying animation of deformation across the North America–Pacific plate boundary since 36 Ma.

The Frazier Mountain paleoseismic site is located on a poorly understood section of the southern San Andreas fault, mid-way between the well-known Carrizo Plain and Mojave sites of Bidart Fan and Pallett Creek. Emerging paleoseismic evidence indicates that earthquakes along this stretch repeat at a similar pace, with an average interval of - 122 years between AD. 1000 and 1857.

Lake Roberts Dam is located in Grant County in southwestern New Mexico. Tectonically the damsite is within the Southern Basin and Range Province and the Rio Grande rift as defined by Machette (1998). Although the historical seismicity in the region has been low, the site has undoubtedly been shaken by past large prehistoric earthquakes caused by active regional faults and in historical times, as recently as 1887 (Figures 2 to 4).

Geomorphic, stratigraphic, paleomagnetic, and pedologic data reveal that: (a) the principal phase of the Basin and Range disturbance, sensu strictu, terminated within a latest Miocene to early Pliocene interval (~6 to 3 m.y.B.P) in two basins near Tucson; and (b) general tectonic quiescence has continued in these basins to the present. Approximately correlative relationships in adjacent basins suggest a similarly timed waning of large-scale Basin-Range tectonism throughout most of southeastern Arizona.

This catalog has been prepared to summarize available information for selected springs and seeps in the Upper Queen Creek and Devils Canyon watersheds. The springs and seeps included in this catalog were selected based on proximity to planned facilities as proposed by Resolution Copper for the Resolution mine project. Version 1.0.

Fourteen sites were studied to provide baseline technical hydrologic monitoring in the Oak Flat area within or adjacent to the projected disturbance zone of the proposed RC block cave mine.

This study quantitatively reviewed vegetation reestablishment following a variety of disturbances in the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts of southwestern North America. A total of 47 studies met inclusion criteria for the review.
