The alluvial basins described in this report include about 82,000 square miles in south-central Arizona and parts of adjacent States. The area is composed of 72 basins that are virtually independent hydrologic systems.

The objectives of this memorandum are to summarize the information provided by RCM and reviewed by BGC and the Workgroup, describe key considerations, as well as available guidance and best practice in the industry for subaqueous disposal of reactive tailings, comment on the applicability of subaqueous disposal in an arid environment.

A public comment was received suggesting that an alternative or supporting technique could be used to bolster the analysis of geomorphology in the FEIS. The purpose of this process memo is to document the response to this comment, in support of changes to the FEIS.

The management plans serve as a tool to assist the Arizona Department of Water Resources in achieving the groundwater goals of each of the state's five Active Management Areas.

This plan contains the conservation programs that are intended to guide the Phoenix AMA to meet it management goal - and these conservation programs are to be designed to achieve reductions in groundwater withdrawals.

The process of updating the Pinal model geology was begun in 2007, and had not been addressed since Modeling Report No. 2 (Corkhill and Hill, 1990). The purpose of this provisional report is to document the data collection activities and findings of the hydrogeologic framework of the study area. This report will be finalized after the Pinal Active Management Area (AMA) Regional Groundwater Flow Model report which documents the update and recalibration of the groundwater flow model in Pinal County have been completed.
