The Picketpost Mountain and Iron Mountain 7.5' quadrangles are located east of the Phoenix metropolitan area and are within the Basin and Range physiographic and tectonic province of southwestern North America.

This experience demonstrated that reclamation requirements and bonds for mining operations on federal lands in the Western United States were inadequate in some cases.

This special issue deals with the country between 27° and 37°30' N Latitude and 103° and 118° W Longitude.

The proponent proposes to test drill in 4 locations for mining exploration.

The Coconino National Forest, Land and Resource Management Plan defines the direction for managing the Forest for the next 10 to 15 years. The Forest Plan provides for integrated multiple-use and sustained-yield of goods and services from the Forest in a way that maximizes long-term net public benefits in an environmentally sound manner.
